#### Objectives:

- White drawing paper
- Pencils
- Erasers
- Colouring pencils or crayons

#### Lesson Procedure:
1. **Introduction (5 minutes):**
- **Greetings and Circle Time:** Begin with a warm greeting and gather the students in a circle.
- **Topic Introduction:** Introduce the topic of birds. Show the students pictures of various birds. Ask them if they can name any birds they know.
- **Motivation:** Explain that today we will learn how to draw and colour a bird! Show them a simple drawing of a bird as an example.
2. **Direct Instruction (10 minutes):**
- **Discuss the Shapes:** Explain that birds can be drawn using simple shapes. Draw these shapes on the board while explaining.
- Circle or oval for the body
- Small circle for the head
- Triangle for the beak
- Lines for the legs and tail feathers
- Arcs for the wings
- **Demonstration:** Slowly draw a simple bird on the board, narrating each step. Encourage the students to observe closely.
3. **Guided Practice (10 minutes):**
- **Distribute Materials:** Hand out drawing paper and pencils to each student.
- **Step-by-Step Drawing:** Guide the students through drawing their own bird step-by-step, referring back to the shapes discussed.
- Draw an oval for the body
- Draw a circle on top of the oval for the head
- Draw a small triangle on the head for the beak
- Add arcs for wings on each side of the body
- Draw lines for the legs and tail feathers
- Encourage students to add eyes and any other details they like
4. **Independent Practice (15 minutes):**
- **Colouring:** Once the drawing is complete, provide colouring pencils or crayons.

5. **Closure (5 minutes):**
